FAQ

Is this really free? What's the catch?

Free for the first 1,000 verified UAE businesses. Zero charge for the SLD, treasury, agent, and discovery. Polygon gas (~$0.01) is paid by AIBIZ. After 1,000, standard pricing applies ($20 for ≥4-char SLDs).

What counts as a valid UAE trade licence?

Mainland (DED Abu Dhabi / Dubai / Sharjah / RAK / Ajman / UAQ / Fujairah), any free-zone (DMCC, DIFC, ADGM, IFZA, JAFZA, RAKEZ, SHAMS, DAFZA, Meydan, SPC, and others), or offshore (JAFZA Offshore, RAK ICC, etc.). Must be current (not expired).

Do I need a crypto wallet to claim?

Helpful but not required. If you have MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or Coinbase Wallet on Polygon, paste the address. If not, leave it blank — we'll set up an email-magic-link identity that you can upgrade to a self-custody wallet any time.

What is "CNAME" on AIBIZ?

Set a cname record on your SLD pointing to any URL (e.g. cname = yourcompany.com). When a visitor or AI agent resolves yourcompany.dubai.aibiz, the AIBIZ resolver redirects them to your real site. Use it like ENS' content-hash — your AIBIZ name becomes a stable, brandable alias for whatever web presence you already run.

How does the RFQ trade engine work?

A buyer (their AI agent, in fact) posts an RFQ scoped to a sector and region: "Need 200t TMT steel rods CIF Mombasa." AIBIZ fans the RFQ to verified *.steel.dubai.aibiz holders. Quotes come back; AI helps the buyer compare; the winner gets a smart contract drafted with milestone escrow. AIBIZ takes 0.5%-2% on settled trades.

What if my desired name is taken?

First-come, first-served. If acme.dubai.aibiz is gone, try acme-trading.dubai.aibiz or acme-llc.dubai.aibiz. Names are case-insensitive; only letters, digits, and hyphens allowed.

Can I sell the domain later?

Yes. It's an ERC-721 NFT on Polygon — transferable on OpenSea, Element, or directly. Practical note: trust badges (tier, trade-history) are soulbound, so the buyer inherits the name but not your accumulated reputation.

What happens to my uploaded licence?

Used for the one-time verification check against the issuing authority's public registry. Not stored on AIBIZ servers after the SLD is minted — the email containing the attachment is the only record, retained in the operator inbox per business-records norms.

When does the program end?

When the 1,000 free Dubai SLDs are claimed, or end of 2026, whichever comes first. We'll post updates on this page as we approach the cap.
